 Fithteenth dev log for Production

What's been happening this week?

This week i worked on getting all the models done for the room.

Here is an image of all the model newly added to the rooms

The shelves I wanted to look like how the TV shelf did but more shelf like and this is what was produced. it used the same material as the TV self and the pillars around the house, saving on texturing them.

The wires I just needed to be simple and the shader I'm going to use will make it look like there energy flowing through them making them look great, these are just curves I converted to meshes.

The fish tank is made with planes inverted to make the glass so I can do funky stuff with the shader. The fishes were made by tracing around a real fish and then filling them in and extruding. the rocks are just iso spheres and the seaweed is just a plane.

The toilet and sink where honestly quite hard to get the design I wanted. It went though a few phases till i got the design I was looking for. and it honestly looks great, fits the style and sits well in that room.

The garage door is very simple but will be made to stand out/look better with textures right now it just looks like a plane with extruded parts.

The tool cabinet is something really wanted to do when making this garage but I had no idea how, I got a reference and started making it. this was much simpler then I thought, expected the wheels they sucked, getting the right shape and stuff what quite hard an the look also didn't come easy but after trial and error I finally got what I was looking for.

The kettle and toaster i love how they came out. I designed the kettle off of the one I own in my own kitchen because it looks futuristic. The toaster is something I've always wanted but are very expensive to buy. The were mostly done with just extruding cubes and cylinders with some bevelling and a curve for the kettle handle.

The knifes and cutting bored are essential to making the house look lived in and used, so I added some cubes and got to work on the knifes and the cutting bored. The bored are mostly just bevel flat cubes which gives a great effect but the knifes are a cube that took ages to mould into something that only just resembles a knife, this was super hard to do. if I was to do it again I would have just traced an image of a real knife and went with that would have saved so much time and been easier.

The picture frames are very simple a frame with a picture on that I have unwrapped to make it easy to change the picture. This makes it super simple to understand how to change the picture and wat orientation it needs to be.

When i was planning this room out I was planning on making it the "Gun room" but then someone gave me the idea to add fishes in here so its not cluttered in the hall way which was a great idea. so instead of guns i made safes that can be imagines to have guns in them. This is also due to not having any clue how to make a gun. I think this was for the better because it saves time but also looks super cool. I also made some fish food tubs that makes the room come together also adding some spare water in a 1G tub.

I then chose to add my light saber I'm working on for another class, to add more items to the shelves. This looks really cool in this shelf people places as a show piece and maybe even a real weapon.

The garage was feeling bit empty on the aright side so I added  wall safe as well as another TV. The red box is a plane set up for poster use. This will make the place feel more alive and lived in. This was very simple to set up copy and pasting the safe and the TV and just making them bigger and the poster is just unwrapped in a good way.

All of these models made this week have been added to the room for the final set up.

Thoughts on progress

My progress has come along nicely with not to long left to work on this about 1 month I feel my work has come along smoothly. Not much issues happened when making the models other then some changes i made from my design ideas due to ideas changing. The room is coming together little by little.

Next Work Session

Texture all of my models and then add them into unity, doing lighting and shader set up
