Eighth dev log for Pre Production

What's been happening this week?

This week i have been looking at what needs done and completing everything that I believe is needed for Pre Production. most of my models should be made in production due to them being super simplistic and the big thing is the models for the actually room and city. I have been working on models and textures for Books, Light cycle, Speaker, Fire place, Candles, Cup, and the enemy ship. Some of these have textures some do not. i wanted to leave most of the texturing for Production.

Here is the city block out that i did. It in UV mode because its really hard to show off in any other mode. This is to scale same as the room and is also perfect to what I'm looking for as a plane street. i think it came out great.

This is the enemy ship that is from Tron I based my design off of it but I made it my own by making not as detailed due to it being in the distance rather then being up-close there's no need for there to be so many polys if you cant even see it well. This came out ok but I might change it in the future.
I modelled many different props for the room they all turned out amazing exactly what I wanted. The books all have identical UV's so changing there colours will be super easy in substance. I struggled with getting the speaker they way I wanted because the Boolean modifier would not work the way I wanted, it turns out I was just using it wrong, once i figured that out the rest was easy.
This is texturing some of them in substance making it set up so that its super simple to change the colour by using fill layers its super easy to apply different colours to different regens this is most useful for the books. multiple colours of books in seconds.
Did some last minute sketches to cover parts I had missed in the back log.
These are self explanatory for what they are but each will have a small description under them.
These are designs for radiators and lights, i like the light strips rather then the hanging bulbs and I don't rally like radiators because they seem kind of old fashioned in a world like this.

These are shelf items that are just there for looks, there like schists for jewellery boxes.

This is my take on a hologram box it would be places down and you can talk to someone or promote something.

These are window designs the top left one is my personal favourite it has the most personality.

These are shop designs wanting each one to be different and not the same.

I tried to see if a complex ship was better then a simple one, it was not.

The deasign for thr final building i want to be the top right one it looks the best and stands out the most for being "evil"

In this day and age who wouldn't have wheels on there chair, for the turn table i wanted some lights to glow onto the bike as it spins around the far right one is the best for that. the middle curtains are the best they don't look old, but they also don't look lazy.


Sprint 4

This sprint was all about making sure everything in the back log was completed, I copied over the backlog to there sprint 4 sections and went though it 1 by 1 to make sure I had everything. By the end i did i got everything I needed in and completed which is amazing. the end was a bit hectic due to Christmas and not having much PC at that time. but I got it done and on time.

Thoughts on progress

I feel I could have done more in some weeks rather then doing as little as I did do. Next time I think I would space my time out better because this time I just kind of did what I want when I wanted and it worked well but not as well as I would like. its a bit everywhere? lots of sketches that could have been done at the beginning rather then the ones I have done everywhere. but even with that I feel I made good progress with developing my idea and have expanded on it well. I wanted to leave a lot of modelling for production so I didn't feel like I could finish the room and city in a few weeks and be left with nothing. Since I am knowledgeable with modelling it doesn't take me to long to do something simple like a chair or the candles for example, since there small  they didn't have to be detailed at all and I didn't want them to be detailed.
