Third dev log for Pre Production
What's been going on this week?
This week has been about expanding my idea further, getting a rough idea for the shape I wanted I decided to do a very rough block out of the city and the room itself.
This is the city rough block out and you can see its not to scale in the slightest but the idea is there in visual form and can be very easily visualised as a final piece. The road feels a bit empty so perhaps adding some alleyways in the middle to open things up might be a good idea.
I also worked on some more sketches during this week of props around the room This includes candles, Books, Fishes , PC setup and a TV
These are items I want scattered around the room to make the room feel more full and alive rather then being baron. But there has to be a good balance other wise the room will feel to cluttered and full over run by chaos. I also want the books to be different textures to feel like there not just the same over and over again making sure that they wont have the same paten in the same order everywhere.
Thoughts on progress
I think my progress this week has been really good. I have taken more time with my drawings at least some of them. I also was able to get a block out done of both the city and the room this makes for a much easier understanding of my vision and understanding of what things need to look like. This has also helped me understand I need to work more on my design for both. If i was to do this part again i would do the block outs to scale. Sure its a rough block out but its still hard to grasp the size when not doing it to scale as you can see from the size of the bath room.
What's next?
I want to work more on my designs and layouts for the room, the city and the bike. Flush them out and remove anything that is bad or something just docent feel right. Experiment and find what I like.
